WHAT HAPPY COACHEES ARE SAYING
A.P.
Team Manager, Google
Merve’s coaching helped me through different points in my professional life; as a senior member of her team at Google, when I was new to a leadership role, and later when I was seeking a career shift. She provided well thought out inputs on identifying & leveraging my strengths, how I can prioritize my efforts and decide on short & medium term goals.

Merve’s understanding of people dynamics at different levels of an organization are particularly insightful, especially when navigating changes & complexity.

I. P.
CFO, Bethia S.A.
Merve helps me by asking the uncomfortable questions I don’t want to ask myself regarding my career. She has worked with me in defining my goals, identifying my priorities so that I can focus on making the career change I want. Having a weekly coaching session really helps me decide on stay true to my northstar. Without the challenge and accountability, between day to day work and family life, I would not be able to dedicate my time and energy into the steps needed to make change happen.

Tech Lead, AI Start-up
Merve worked with me to develop a successful strategy for negotiating a substantial increase in my compensation package, as well as a major promotion into management. Her input was really vital during this process because she supported me in finding a compelling narrative that I can stand behind, and that I used to advocate for myself. She is a great listener with an amazing memory, and her background in tech really made me confident that she understood my complex situation well.

FAQ's
What is executive coaching?
Executive coaching is a confidential, one-to-one professional relationship focused on helping you perform at your best — in your role, your leadership, and your career. It is not advice-giving, therapy, or mentoring. A coach works with you to surface your own thinking, challenge your assumptions, build on your strengths, and move past whatever is holding you back. The agenda is yours. The work is practical, not theoretical. Most clients come to coaching at a moment of transition, increased pressure, or genuine ambition — and leave with more clarity, stronger presence, and a clearer path forward.
How long does executive coaching take?
Most coaching engagements run for three to six months, with sessions every one to three weeks. That said, there is no universal answer — the right length depends on what you are working on, how complex your situation is, and how quickly you want to move. Some clients come for a focused six-session sprint around a specific challenge: a promotion, a difficult stakeholder dynamic, a career decision. Others choose to work together over a year or more, using coaching as an ongoing thinking partnership as their role evolves. We always start with a conversation to understand your goals before recommending an approach.
How much does executive coaching cost?
Executive coaching is an investment, and the range across the industry is wide — from a few hundred per session to several thousand, depending on the coach's experience, credentials, and the level of the work. At Leadrise Coaching, we work with senior professionals and founders on a package basis. We do not publish fixed pricing because every engagement is priced based on the number of sessions, the mix (e.g. 1:1, group, training, etc.), and any additional elements like 360 assessments or stakeholder work. The best starting point is a free 15-minute intro call, where we can discuss your goals and give you a clear picture of what working together would look like and cost.
What is the difference between executive coaching and mentoring?
They are related but meaningfully different. A mentor has typically walked a similar path to yours and shares their experience, knowledge, and advice based on what worked for them. It is directional — they point you toward answers from their own playbook. A coach, by contrast, does not give you the answers. A coach helps you find your own — through questions, challenge, and reflection. Coaching works from the assumption that you have more of the answers than you currently have access to, and that the right environment unlocks them. In practice, the best coaching relationships contain elements of both: a coach who also has deep business and leadership experience can offer context and perspective where it is genuinely useful, while keeping the focus on your growth rather than their story.
Am I senior enough / ready for executive coaching? Do I need to be at a certain level to work with an executive coach?
No. Executive coaching is not reserved for C-suite leaders or people with large teams. The clients who get the most from coaching tend to be ambitious professionals at an inflection point — someone moving into their first leadership role, a founder scaling their business, a senior individual contributor navigating organisational complexity, or a director preparing for the next level. If you are dealing with real professional challenges and you are genuinely committed to doing something about them, coaching can be useful. The question is not whether you are senior enough. It is whether the timing is right for you.
Will my employer find out? Is coaching confidential?
No, your employer will not find out, unless you choose to share your coaching experience with them. Everything discussed in coaching sessions is confidential. If your employer is sponsoring your coaching, they may receive high-level logistical updates — for example, that sessions are taking place, meeting cadence, invoicing, etc. — but the content of what you discuss is never shared. Many clients choose to work with a coach independently, outside of any employer arrangement, specifically because they want a completely private space to think. Either way, confidentiality is the foundation of the coaching relationship. Without it, the work cannot happen.
Does it actually work? What results can I expect from executive coaching?
The research is strong. A 2020 meta-analysis published in the Journal of Positive Psychology found significant positive effects of coaching on performance, wellbeing, and goal attainment. The ICF Global Coaching Study found that 86% of companies report recouping their investment in coaching, and 96% of those who have been coached say they would repeat the experience. In practice, clients at Leadrise typically report greater clarity on their priorities and direction, stronger executive presence, improved relationships with stakeholders and teams, better decision-making under pressure, and a stronger sense of agency over their career. Results depend on the quality of the coaching relationship and the commitment of the client — but when both are present, the outcomes tend to be meaningful and lasting.
